Fixing Cell phone by codes

Many people worry when their cell phone showed abnormal functions. For a light damage, it is not necessary to take your phone to the repair shop, you may fix by press codes on keypad, so it will re-set to the factory setting (back to first setting). This problems may fix by codes :

1. show full memory message but actually the capacity has not full.
2. show “Camera Not Ready” message when taking the picture.
3. At Nokia Symbian series show blink 4 times.
4. Hang or cell phone slowly operation.
5. The phone often to turn off automatically on minutes or hours.
6. Often restart automatically.
7. No ring when activate the switch off menu and do not know how to turn on.
8. When write SMS, just show the numeric, letter not appear
9. Cannot make SMS, because the folder is gone.
10. One of icon is can not operate.
11. Often appear the Phone Startup Contact retailer message.
12. Often show System error message
13. Often show Application Closed message
14. Often show Phone Lock.
15. Menu display in disorder
16. Virus infected.

Many important things to remember before make a repairing:

1. Back up important data to other media or external memory, before back to the first setting (factory setting), to avoid loosing the picture data, phonebook, ringtone, and application.
2. To memorize language location, so you will back to the known language after reset.
3. At Communicator serial, delete Office file, then re-install after finish the repairing.

Reset the cell phone may different every series and types, here describes for Nokia series :

a. Nokia Communicator (9500,9210 & 9300)

- turn off cell phone

- release battery and external memory

- wait for 10 seconds, then set again the battery.

- open cell phone to see the inside screen, after screen active and before hand mark show up, press CTRL+SHIFT+F simultaneously.

- press OK when notification message appear that asking for phone formatting.

This step to overcome hang, restart or slowly phone operation.

b. Nokia 7710 & 770

- turn off your cell phone

- release battery and external memory

- wait for 10 seconds, then set again battery

- when the Nokia word display on screen, soon press and hold left key above menu key + menu key + second key from up right of cell phone.

- when the format confirmation of phone message show, press Proceed

- wait until process finished.

This step to overcome hang and menu not function.

c. Nokia serial 60

- make sure that battery is full, minimal ½ full, to avoid failure when rebooting process.

- release memory card, or card would be unreadable after rebooting.

- reset process can be done when phone active and use SIM card.

- type code #7780#, press OK

- enter standard code 12345 then cell phone will automatically restart

- enter code #7370#, then do similar with soft reset.

At 60 serial, may happen:

- phone is off and use battery (full or ½ )

- release memory card

- press On

- After cell phone is on, press Call + * + 3 button simultaneously.

- Wait a moment after format message shows on screen.

This step to overcome Phone Startup Contact Retailer and 4x blink

d. Nokia serial 40

- when cell phone is on and there is SIM Card inside, type code #7780#, then OK

- Enter standard code 12345 then cell phone will automatically restart

This step to overcome restart and auto off.

For some types of CDMA Nokia, procedures are:

- into main menu

- choose setting

- choose restore factory setting

- when you asked for the code, type 12345

- press OK
